Our fall "development" program is top
shelf. The model is similar to a fall
collegiate format. Players compete
every Sunday with optional batting and
I/O practices during the week.
On Sundays players begin with a
dynamic core and agility work up.
Followed by small group training on
specific drill sets. Additionally, players
compete in live situational coach
facilitated scrimmages each day for a
total of two and a half hours. We also
take a twenty minute break for lunch.
Parents and players have access to a
full concession stand. Parents can
also check in on some football under
the pavilion at Lion's Park/Mike
Poppitz Field in Victoria.
There are no score books, umpires,
ribbons or trophies. Players are taught
the many aspects of Baseball 101.
We simply do not set a bucket of balls
out and mail it in every Sunday. This is
an instructional and developmental
program geared specifically for those
players (14-18) who have a desire to
play college baseball
Information to be sent out in June.
FREE RECRUITING SERVICES
At Down Angle Baseball we are care
about the student athletes we train. We
are also willing to be sounding boards
outside the training environment. Our
mentoring model is strong. Players are
taught blue collar fundamentals which
is supported by video analysis.
Our players are not cocky or arrogant.
They possess an inner arrogance that
is surrounded by class and character.
We also believe there are three things
players can control. They are their
work ethic, personal attitude and self
control. If they manage these areas
and work hard their game will

NO CHECK BOOK BASEBALL
We are not an academy. Our model
is players train to improve their skills
We do not support players playing in
"show off cases" outside their regular
seasons. Medical and Baseball
professionals agree clear across the
board that doing so increases the risk
for injury at least three fold.
Players should also not play year
round. They need at least two months
of active rest from throwing.
Our training model is very similar to
the collegiate level. There as well as in
the professional ranks players take
time off to train. This is more important
for youth players. If due to no other
reason then experts agree that
improper mechanics are the number
one cause of injuries.
